Football Versus Soccer
Actually, football and soccer are both played in team, but they differ in position of players and the duration of time. There are some positions in football, those are : Offensive Line (OL) , Quarter Back (QB), Running Back (RB), Wide Receiver (WR), and Tight End (TE). Offensive Line (OL) is a person who has a function to protect the ball thrower. Quarter Back (QB) is a person who has a function to give the ball to Running Back (RB). Running Back (RB) is a person who has a function to receive the ball from Quarter Back (QB). Wide Receiver (WR) is a person who has a function to catch the ball which is thrown by Quarter Back (QB). Tight End (TE) is a person who has a function to protect Quarter Back (QB) and his partners. Those positions are different with soccer. Positions which are in soccer, are : Goalkeeper, Defensive Midfielder, Striker, etc. Goalkeeper is a person who protects the ball from the other team. Defensive Midfielder is a person who defends his area from the other team. Striker is a person who attacks and makes a goal. Besides the positions of players, football and soccer are also different in the duration of time. It’s 2 × 45 minutes for soccer, and 4 × 15 minutes for football. In conclusions, football and soccer are both played in team, but they differ in position of players and the duration of time.
